Cannabis Shows Great Promise in Treating Cancer There’s no topic like cancer to inspire cacophonous claims of a cure, pegged to everything from the rinds of fruits nobody has ever eaten to powders drawn from Micronesian beaches no one has ever visited. As such, claims of miracle cures for cancer typically cause the medical establishment to roll their eyes and avert their attention. Read More.. This is why it’s so important to eschew such cure-related hyperbole when discussing the cancer-treating components of cannabis, which could all too easily be lumped into the same National Enquirer “wonder cure” category.Such talk is especially counterproductive given that there is little doubt that cannabis plays a very important role as a treatment option for cancer—a fact even government agencies are ready to acknowledge, issuing statements on cannabis and cancer that are profoundly encouraging. Federal task force reportedly recommends more marijuana study, no crackdown

The task force Attorney General  Jeff Sessions  established to crack down on marijuana use has come up with no new policy recommendations for the attorney general, The Associated Press reported Friday. Marijuana advocates feared that a report released by the Trump administration’s Task Force on Crime Reduction and Public Safety would link violent crime to marijuana. But the AP, citing portions of the report it had obtained, said that the document recommends that officials continue weighing whether to change or rescind the Obama administration’s largely hands-off approach to enforcement.  Read More... Advocates hailed the news on Friday. “The task force’s recommendations reflect the fact that the Dept. of Justice has more important priorities than harassing legitimate, taxpaying businesses. In states that have approved marijuana for medical or adult use, these businesses are creating jobs, generating revenue, protecting consumers, and making their communities safer,” Don M

The trial that began on July 31st is expected to take 19 days.  Read More... No less than seven government ministers are being called to defend South Africa’s position on keeping cannabis prohibition in place.
